Iniciaron la tarea y unos años después en 2009, Jan and Moira se propusieron desarrollar una red global de personas mayores llamada "We are the ones" inspirada en el poema del Jefe Hopi Dan Evehema quien falleció en 1999 a los 108 años Ver poema aquí: Hopi-Elder-Speaks-Poem.pdf El poema finaliza con la frase “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.” "nosotros somos los que hemos estado esperando"...esta transformación en el mundo, podríamos completar nosotras desde Argentina.

- La misión e ideario de PION CASTELLANO convendría comenzar a desarrollar un guion afectivo y de sentido compartido. Imaginar la metodología para usar en esa reunión y en las actividades que siguen. ¿Para qué? ¿Cuáles son las contribuciones que estamos haciendo? Grupo colaborativo la magia del número cinco. Tres temas y cuando vas creciendo a seis se abre otro grupo.
- REUNIÓN PRELIMINAR DE LA RED La idea es que - si resulta posible- en septiembre generemos un espacio de intercambio inclusivo y de diálogo fuertemente orientado a la acción transformadora. En ese espacio veremos nuestra piedra de toque de las tareas colectivas

- En 2020 iniciamos las micro-reuniones con Aging 2.0 el lunes 12.10.2020
- CONVERSACIÓNES. La finalidad es comenzar con grupos pequeños que integran el ecosistema pro buena longevidad y se generan pequeños acuerdos que se ordenan en CONSIGNAS a las que todos los grupos adhieren a estos cambios y a participar en la transformación.

- Heroic Futures

A compelling mystery was solved as I attended a three evening talk, Heroic Futures, by futurist Alex Steffen, a TED Fellow who co-created the WorldChanging movement and book. As all of us more fully realize climate change, reversing it depends on all of us changing. The speaker gave us a way to realize hope: co-creating a culture of innovation as the Harlem Renaissance and Paris of the 1920’s did. It is developed by stories.
Raines Cohen, CSA, CLIPP, is a pioneering Aging-in-Community community organizer and connector, helping people find, build, and thrive in cohousing neighborhoods, EcoVillages, and other intentional communities. He co-founded the Passageways to Elderhood Alliance, was Activist-in-Residence at the Modern Elder Academy (2021), and contributed to Audacious Aging (Elite Books, 2009). While mapping elder education and advocacy groups, he’s also with the National Cohousing Alliance, cultivates regional partnerships through Cohousing Open Network, and serves on boards including Sage-ing International and Gray Panthers. He's visited nearly 150 US cohousing neighborhoods and now lives in one in Berkeley, CA, with his wife Betsy Morris. She's the urban planner, he's the urban dreamer.

- You've probably heard about the concept of "Aging In Place," adapting homes to support people being able to stay there as they age. We think that's great, but not nearly enough. We have witnessed the power of "Aging In Community" making a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors, and want to spread it to the world, through this website, organizing campaigns and books.
Audacious AgingWe now publish a directory of Village Networks (based on the Beacon Hill Village model) that are up and running. We are adding Senior Cohousing and other intergenerational cohousing neighborhoods, EcoVillages, and intentional communities, in partnership with nonprofit groups leading the movement. Conscious Elders NetworkRaines invited me to talk to the Conscious Elders Network at its annual gathering held in nearby Burlingame.
- This young organization of older people is planning to focus on Sustainable Community Living in the next year.
- My cohousing neighbor Raines, a founder of the group, thought it wise that they hear from a community-founder Elder who is living in community and Aging in Community.
- I joined the group’s meeting on a Regenerative Living field trip to San Mateo Ecovillage, and shared how my Berkeley Cohousing community supports me.
- Preparing to give this talk challenged me to see that my community provides me with safety to:
- know and show my feelings
- stretch my thinking
- ask for help
- Also, this deeper examination helped me take my core values more seriously, looking at how they apply to the big challenges in front of humanity, such as Climate Change. Simple Living is a great building block, one that needs to scale up to be a viable option for more people, to make the difference that will be needed.
- As I brought the pieces together with a fresh look, I saw how I have blocked progress toward my own dreams! My modesty and isolation in this practice (not wanting to get into competitive comparisons of simplicity or greenness) did not serve me well in communicating it effectively to inspire others to take steps in their own positive directions.
- This self-reflection and transformation turned out to be an example of the best support community can provide.
- I once pictured my community as a bunch of smiling alligators (conflict avoiders) and now agree with a neighbor that we are learning to love each other more.
